Choosing a Shower Curtain

We recently remodelled our bathroom and are in the process of picking out the new decor. We painting the walls a lovely chocolate brown, and spent a while looking at various patterns for shower curtains. Let me tell you, there are hundreds and hundreds of different options. Here's what you should look for.

1. Color palette. Make sure it matches the bathroom walls, accessories, towels, etc. You don't want bright pink when everything else is read. Get nice complementing colors if you don't want them to be identical.

2. Find a good matching shower curtain liner. We picked out one that was a slightly lighter shade than the curtain (a taupe for our new brown curtain) and it's also mold resistant. Nice.

3. Look at the fabric and care instructions. There are different thicknesses of curtains, which can matter if your rod is flimsy (but you're getting a nice curved one after being here, so it won't be flimsy, will it?) and you'll want something is that machine washable.

4. Look at the hooks if yours don't quite match. We got an updated style that actually makes the curtain open and close better as well.
