Tension Shower Rod

The tension shower rod is a standard rod that most people use in their homes. They're easily adjustable and moveable. You adjust the tension on the rod using its internal spring mechanism and hang it up between the shower walls. It's not permanently attached so if you pull on it, the rod will come down. If the rod loses its tension it will fall, but most of the time they hang quite nicely above your shower.

Standard rods run about $15 at any local Walmart, but if you want something a bit more upscale, you can get nickel or chrome rods with fancier end caps and decorative hooks for a bit more money. Cheap plastic tension rods won't last very long and they tend to look cheap. If you have an upscale modern bathroom you'll want the shower rod to reflect the taste you have. The more elaborate and stylish rods can run upwards of $150. For some people this extra cost is worth it.

We have a few standard rods and shower curtain hooks for sale, they're listed below.
